28/03/08 - Customer Service Centre new call back service and opening hours

As we approach the 15 May deadline for submission of 2008 SPS applications, call volumes to the RPA Customer Service Centre (CSC) are increasing and you may be held in a queue when all available CSC staff are already speaking to customers.

If you are held in a queue for the SPS and RLR options, BT QueueBuster allows you to leave your name and telephone number. The telephone system will then automatically hold your place in the queue and make a same day call-back when you reach the front of the queue.

You will be offered this service after being held in a queue for more than 30 seconds. You will be asked to leave your name and the telephone number (including mobiles) you wish to be called back on. If your line is busy or unobtainable when we call you back we will make two more attempts to return the call in 15 minute intervals.

We used this service successfully last year and feedback from customers that have used it has been very positive. We would encourage you to use this service when it is offered.

If you have a non touch tone phone you will not be able to use this service. In this case please hold and your call will be answered by a member of the contact centre team.
