14/08/07 - Aid for energy crops/non food set-aside exceptional weather derogation - 2007

The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) is seeking to alleviate the administrative burden on those growers affected by the recent exceptional weather who are having difficulties in meeting their requirements for Aid for Energy Crops and Non-Food Set-Aside Schemes.

Growers in the counties shown below, who feel they may fail to meet the representative yields this year, should write to the RPA Exeter (details below) submitting an NFC/ENC7 (Amendment to Contract form). This form is available by telephoning the office or from the RPA website. The form should be sent together with a brief description of the exceptional circumstances they have suffered (i.e. the impact of the severe weather on their land/crops). Further independent evidence will not be required to support their application.

Gloucestershire
Herefordshire
Worcestershire
Humberside
South Yorkshire

Growers with land either partially or completely outside these counties, who also feel they are unable to meet the minimum yield requirements for their declared crops, must continue to supply independent supporting evidence (i.e. agronomist’s report, weather records, etc) with their NFC/ENC7 in order to support their contract amendments.
