SPS Information for farmers and growers in England, November 2007
The SPS Information for farmers and growers in England, November 2007 is being sent out to all Single Payment Scheme (SPS) applicants from today. Copies are also available from the Defra and RPA websites.
The brochure includes information on a number of recent and proposed changes to EU legislation governing the SPS and related schemes, including:
- Set-aside rate for 2008
- Fruit and vegetable reform
- 10-month rule; and
- Aid for Energy crops
Most of the changes apply to the 2008 scheme year, but information is also included on issues relating to 2007 payments, including the Euro / Sterling exchange rate, modulation rate and scaleback under the Aid for Energy Crops.
