Changes in Notice to Trader Distribution

Introduction

1. This notice is to remind you that further trader notices will not be issued in paper format and you must register if you wish to receive an e-mail alert that a notice has been published on the RPA website.

Background

2.Trader notice 38/07 was issued on 25 June 2007 to inform you that we will no longer issue paper copies of trader notices. This notice is to remind you that forthcoming notices will not be distributed by post. Trader notices are currently published on the RPA website and you can register to receive an e-mail notification of publication.

Procedures

3. If you wish to receive an e-mail alert that a notice has been published on the RPA website, it is imperative that you complete the attached form and return it to RPA Newcastle, using the details below. If you register your e-mail address(es), you will automatically receive notification of ‘All Trader’ notices. In addition, please indicate the specific commodities in which you trade. You will then receive notification of commodity specific notices. This will allow us to tailor our distribution and only send you details of notices relevant to your business operations.

4 If you wish to return your form electronically, it is available on the RPA website www.rpa.gov.uk under RPA Schemes/External Trade/All Commodity Advice/Forms. Simply click on the relevant boxes to indicate your preferences.

5 To ensure that you receive an e-mail alert for future notices, your completed form must be sent to us as soon as possible on the following:
