Dehydrated Fodder

The aim of the scheme is to enourage the production and use of Community produced protein crops by the paying of aid. This allows dried fodder produced in the Community to compete with imported proteins more equitably. Aid is granted to processors who artifically heat dry and dispose of green fodder products that have been harvested in the Community and satisfy certain quality requirements in the end product.

The marketing year for dehydrated fodder begins on 1 April and ends on 31 March the following year. Claims for each month must be received by RPA within 45 days of the end of the month, except the March claim which must be received by 30 April.
