The Milk section issues licences to import and export milk and milk products from and to countries outside the EU.

They also issue Quota import and export licences that allow for the reduction/exemption from specific duty on the import and export of certain milk products.

Certain milk and milk products when exported to certain destinations can attract an export refund - claims for this are dealt with by the Milk section.

Animal and public health requirements

There is information available on Defra's web site about the animal and public health import and export requirements for all animal products. Not meeting the animal health requirements can result in your product being seized and re-exported or destroyed at your own expense.
