The recipe system allows traders to declare in advance the eligible ingredients within a processed good. RPA provides traders with a 'recipe code' which is specific to that processed good. This can be entered on export refund claim forms instead of declaring full details of ingredients.

Further details can be found in parts 2-4 of leaflet ET17. The recipe application form (ETPG1) is available under 'Forms' on the menu on the left of this page.

ET/PG5 Form - Application for a recipe code containing IPR ingredients - you can use this form when an ingredient you use in an existing recipe is to be sourced from IPR. Paper copies of this form are available from our Recipe Section on request, or from the 'Forms' option on the menu on the left of this page.

Animal and public health requirements

There is information available on Defra's web site about the animal and public health import and export requirements for all animal products. Not meeting the animal health requirements can result in your product being seized and re-exported or destroyed at your own expense.
