You must register your land on the Rural Land Register to claim payment through the Single Payment Scheme or the Environmental Stewardship Scheme (ES). From 1 April 2008, you will also need to pre-register land on the RLR to be eligible for payments through the English Woodland Grant Scheme.

If you have any additional land that you want to register or if you want to notify us of any boundary changes, please request an RLE1 form by calling us on 0845 603 7777 (follow instructions for the Rural Land Register) or by completing the Land Change Request on this website. Please note that you will need your SBI as the form is sent pre-printed with some of your business information. Guidance notes can be downloaded from this website.

If you do not already have them, you can apply for a Single Business Identifier (SBI) number, a Vendor number and an Agricultural Holding number (CPH) by telephoning the Customer Service Centre on 0845 603 7777 between 8:30am and 5pm Monday – Friday (except public holidays).
