The RLE1 application form is used to notify the RPA of transfers of entitlements and/or land. It also enables you to register new land or make permanent boundary changes to land you already have registered on the Rural Land Register.
In most cases the RLE 1 will be pre-populated with as much detail as possible relevant to the type of transfer that you are intending to make. Where it is not possible to send you a pre-populated RLE 1, a blank form will be issued.
To obtain an RLE 1 form, please contact us on 0845 603 7777. You will need your Single Business Identifier (SBI) available when you call. You can also request guidance notes for completing the form or you can download them at the bottom of this page. When you request an RLE 1 from our Customer Service Centre (CSC), you will be asked specific questions about the type of transfer that you are making. If you are transferring land or entitlements make sure you have the following information with you when you call:
- SBI of the farmer transferring entitlements out of their business.
- Number of land parcels being transferred.
- SBI of the farmer transferring entitlements into their business.
- Your RPA Personal Identifier (PI).
The following document provides guidance on completing your RLE 1 for registering or making changes to land or for transferring entitlements. RLE 1 Guidance contains a step by step guide for completing the RLE 1. We have also included a sample blank RLE 1 form for information. Please use an original form, do not attempt to use this sample form for registering or making changes to land or for transfers.
We recommend the revised form should be used for making transfers as the processing of these is partially automated. There may be delays if old forms are used.
NB - This guidance will be updated early in 2009 to reflect the changes made in the CAP Health check
